The High Dam at Aswan was considered an engineering miracle when it was built in the 1960s.
The dam provides irrigation and electricity for the whole of Egypt.
From here you can gaze across Lake Nasser to Kalabsha Temple in the south and the huge power station in the north. from here we will go to Philae Temple.
Dedicated to the goddess Isis, Philae Temple has a beautiful setting on an island in the river, which has been landscaped to match its original site.
Half Day Aswan, A short motorboat ride takes you to the island where your Egyptologist will take you on a walking tour through the temple before allowing you free time to explore further on your own.
The unfinished obelisk is the largest known ancient obelisk, located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt in Aswan. It is unknown which pharaoh created this structure.
